Hi everyone, and welcome to my blog, all about Citronella Plants.

My name’s Kathryn O’Connor. I’m a self-proclaimed green thumb, and I’m passionate about natural pest repellents – so I decided to dedicate this blog to teach others about these unique plants’ beauty and benefits!

From common misconceptions about this versatile vegetation to caring for them properly, you’ll find it all here!

I was born and raised in the deep south, and I’m no stranger to pesky bugs. So growing up, I was always looking for natural, effective ways to keep them away – which is how I discovered Citronella Plants! 

After learning about them and their many benefits, I was hooked and have been researching them ever since. Finally, I stayed in the south, where I met my husband, Tim, and we now have an herb garden full of these incredible plants! 

Tim immediately understood that I would need a place to plant my citronella plants, so he built me a special garden just for that. It was an emotional surprise for me which, until this day, I cherish.

I make everything with citronella plants, such as perfumes, candles, and even herbal remedies!

I even send my kids with citronella to school during the summer months, and they come back without a single bite.

I’m excited to share my knowledge with you all and help you enjoy these beautiful plants in whatever way works best for you.

Citronella plant gave me a new appreciation for nature, and I want to share that same awe with others. I’m here to prove that pest control can be both effective and easy on the environment!
